This is a fellowship where reading is tied directly to the operating list: the night before an unfamiliar case, fellows go to the atlas for retroperitoneal and ureteric anatomy and to the endoscopy text for the steps of the approach. Te Linde remains the reference for principles and for managing what goes wrong, while the dedicated laparoscopy and hysteroscopy texts carry the technique detail that general operative gynaecology books skip. Indian units still convert and still do open surgery, so the classic operative texts are kept alongside the endoscopic ones rather than replaced by them.
