ScopeAyurvedic pharmacology (Dravyaguna) and formulation science (Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana), classical text-based research, clinical validation of Ayurvedic interventions, and integrative and ethnomedicine studies.

Reading for Ayurveda and AYUSH Sciences

For an Ayurveda PhD the edition is the whole decision: a Samhita is bought for its commentary, and a thesis argument stands or falls on which commentator you cite. Charaka with Chakrapanidatta's Ayurveda Dipika in Jadavji Trikamji Acharya's edition and Sushruta with Dalhana's Nibandha Sangraha are the Sanskrit texts guides expect to be quoted from, with chapter and verse numbering that must match what the examiner has. The Vidyotini Hindi commentary is what most scholars actually read alongside for meaning before returning to the Sanskrit for the citation. Dravyaguna Vijnana carries the drug-by-drug material for any Dravyaguna or pharmacology thesis, Baghel's directory is used to check that a thesis topic has not already been done in another university, and the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India supplies the standardisation parameters an experimental chapter will be asked to follow.
