How this list is used

Reading for Immunology

Immunology at PhD level is read as three layers: Janeway's for the argument, Abbas for the clean systematic account that survives being taught from, and Paul's Fundamental Immunology when a reviewer wants the primary-literature depth behind a claim. Kuby and Roitt's are what most scholars actually revise from for course work and the comprehensive, because they are the ones that can be finished in a fortnight. Bench work is where the specialist volumes matter: Antibodies is the manual that antibody production, ELISA and blotting protocols are checked against, and the ASM laboratory immunology manual settles assay standardisation and interpretation for anything run on clinical samples. Clinical Immunology is the department copy borrowed when the thesis touches autoimmunity, immunodeficiency or transplant work.
