Work through Williams Textbook of Endocrinology system by system with the clinical postings, and read RSSDI plus ADA standards for the diabetes clinic. Learn dynamic testing protocols hands-on and register the thesis protocol.
Add subspecialty depth: Sperling for paediatric endocrinology, Werner and Ingbar for thyroid, Melmed's The Pituitary and Speroff for reproductive cases. Read Endocrine Society guidelines as issued; collect thesis data.
Revise Williams end to end, drill dynamic-test and imaging stations, practise short cases weekly (short stature, goitre, DSD) and cover recent advances from JCEM and Diabetes Care. Submit the thesis.

DM Endocrinology is a three-year course after MD/DNB in General Medicine or Paediatrics. The NMC guidelines follow the standard PG pattern of four theory papers of 100 marks each — basic sciences as applied to endocrinology, the specialty proper, allied subjects, and recent advances — plus clinical, practical and viva voce, with thesis acceptance a prerequisite. Practicals lean heavily on dynamic endocrine test interpretation in addition to long and short cases.

Williams Textbook of Endocrinology by Melmed, Auchus, Goldfine, Rosen, Kopp (eds) is the usual anchor. The primary text; note that the NMC list credits the older De Groot/Jameson editorship.
DM Endocrinology is a superspecialty course taken after a broad-specialty MD, MS or DNB, so the reading is narrower and deeper. The broad-specialty texts are assumed knowledge by the time you start.
