DM (Doctorate of Medicine) — book guides

DM is the medical superspecialty awarded by NMC-recognised institutions after MD or DNB. Every article carries a reference reading list — the NMC Competency Based Postgraduate Training Guideline reproduced verbatim, or the national reference list for the same superspecialty.

DM, MCh and DrNB are equivalent — the paperwork is not

All three are superspecialty qualifications of the same standing, and the clinical training is broadly comparable. What differs is the awarding body: DM and MCh come from NMC-recognised institutions, DrNB from the National Board of Examinations. That means separate curriculum documents, separate exit examinations, and separate official reading lists — which is why we keep them as three categories rather than one.
