Complete Robbins cover to cover, master grossing and routine histotechnique from Bancroft, and begin daily slide-reading logs; register the thesis protocol and learn haematology bench methods from Dacie and Lewis.
Switch primary reading to Rosai and Fletcher organ system by organ system alongside sign-out, add Bain and Wintrobe during the haematology posting and Orell for FNAC clinics; collect thesis data and present journal clubs.
Revise Robbins rapidly, do a systematic WHO Blue Book pass on classifications, run high-volume slide-spotter and grossing practice, and finish the thesis early to leave the final months for mock practicals and theory writing.

Robbins & Cotran Pathologic Basis of Disease by Kumar, Abbas, Aster, Turner is the usual anchor. Foundation for mechanism-based theory answers; read fully in year one and revised before the exam.
