The MCh Endocrine Surgery exit examination follows the affiliating university's scheme under NMC Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations. The usual pattern is four theory papers of 100 marks — applied basic sciences and endocrine physiology; thyroid and parathyroid surgery; adrenal, neuroendocrine and pancreatic endocrine surgery; and recent advances — with a clinical/practical of one long and two to three short cases, ward rounds, and viva on imaging, biochemistry, pathology, instruments, logbook and thesis.
